Murano is an island near Venice and known all around the world for the art of its crafter to realize fantastic glass, called Murano glass.
Many kind of objects are handycrafted with this glass, famous for its quality and refinement, but only recently Murano glass is used to create beautiful jewels with amazing colors and often coupled with murrine.
Murrine are old creations of Venice: concentric designs, intersected colors, imagins of flowers.
The murrina is made out of a glass cane in an unic way known only from the most expert handycrafters in Murano and it consists in many processes and superimpositions of the glass. Murrine is also called Millefiori (=thousand flowers) cause of their forms that remind flowers.
